Hunting Dakota with Roosevelt

Starts: 10/19/2018 Ends: 10/21/2018
Location: Bismarck/Medora

Hunting Dakota with Roosevelt has three goals: to honor the state’s military; to incorporate the North American Model of Conservation on the lands where Theodore Roosevelt hunted; and to build awareness and raise funding for the fight against cancer. Landowners in western ND have donated land for the hunts on Saturday and Sunday, and dog handlers are donating their time and dogs to lead the hunting parties.

This event offers a select group the opportunity to step back into history and hunt the very land that Theodore Roosevelt hunted. The game being hunted will be ring-neck pheasant and sharp-tail grouse on the very prairie in western North Dakota that Roosevelt loved and cherished.

Select military personnel from North Dakota who have been deployed or mobilized for one tour of duty are the invited guests of sponsoring companies and individuals who will be hunting “fair chase” upland game on private lands of ranchers and farmers of North Dakota.
