Survivorship Program

The Foundation’s survivorship program helps the patient deal with the stress and emotions after they’ve finished treatment. During their last week of treatment, every Bismarck Cancer Center patient meets with a survivorship nurse who provides an  comprehensive follow-up and survivorship care map individualized for each patient. The plan includes a written treatment summary, a recommended follow-up schedule, a list of short and long term side effects of the disease and treatments, a description of what to look for regarding reoccurrence, a chronological list of events in their cancer journey, and a list of various support systems within their community.
